First consultations are normally 1 hour and 15 minutes but can be 30 minutes at the patient's request.
Extended psychotherapeutic evaluation or treatment sessions last 55 minutes. Some reviews can be for 30 minutes
Evaluations of minors usually involve two consultations and in the case of children under 12 years of age it is recommended that the first consultation be with a parent or guardian only.
Treatment is informed by current scientific evidence and consensual with the wishes of the patient, and parents in the case of minors.
First evaluations
Clinical evaluation of the biological, psychological and social aspects of the mental health problem/ emotional difficulty. Initial formulation and/or diagnosis and initial treatment plan
Extended psychotherapeutic evaluation
Detailed evaluation and consideration of the problem and treatment options. Ongoing psychotherapeutic intervention, including psychoeducation, following the first consultation

The sessions are adapted to the needs and circumstances of the person. They can include a range of interventions such as psycho-education, risk management, motivational, systemic, cognitive- behavioural and psychodynamic techniques as well as consideration of modifications of social circumstances. The overall approach is underpinned by mentalization processes : gaining understanding of oneself through the sharing of feelings, wishes and thoughts around our experiences and interactions with others.

Brief reports/letters are free of charge. Detailed-extended reports are produced out of the consultation sessions incurring a fee
